as a dance teacher, Dondi Dahlin
gained an appreciation and
passion for historic preservation.
After buying this 1904 folk
cottage from a developer who
wanted to tear it down for
condos, she and helpers spent
hundreds of hours returning the
facade to its original character.
Dondi also researched the home’s
history and landed a city
landmark designation with help
from local historians. "Now it can
never be torn down,” she says,
"and that was my dream.”
